“Sung in French and Innu, Atikᵘ (which means caribou in Innu-aimun) brings forth the life conditions of this magnificent animal, and it’s historical importance for the First Nations located in the North.
When we think about the caribou, we imagine it living in an idyllic scenery. Unfortunately, now more than ever, the habitat of the caribou is threatened by human activity. Caribou is now on the brink of extinction.
Maybe the fate that awaits the caribou, is the same as the one that awaits us? We make the bet that by taking care of the caribou and its habitat, we are also taking care of us.”
